Position Summary


The Technical Instructor/Course Developer serves as the LAT program's curriculum-development lead, instructional-standardization SME, and technical instructor. The position develops, maintains, revises, and quality-controls technical courseware while periodically teaching courses to maintain instructional proficiency and support workload surges.


Primary Responsibilities

• 
  
  Develop, maintain, revise, and standardize LAT technical curricula.
  
  


• 
  
  Break complex technical subjects into logical blocks or units of instruction.
  
  


• 
  
  Develop and revise lesson plans, instructor guides, student materials, graphics, presentations, and technical courseware.
  
  


• 
  
  Incorporate changes in Army regulations, technical publications, systems, procedures, and policy into course materials.
  
  


• 
  
  Develop and revise examinations, practical exercises, test items, and remediation materials.
  
  


• 
  
  Conduct test analysis and recommend curriculum or instructional improvements.
  
  


• 
  
  Conduct QA/QC reviews of training products and instructional delivery.
  
  


• 
  
  Maintain curriculum configuration control and course-continuity documentation.
  
  


• 
  
  Teach technical courses in accordance with approved curriculum to maintain instructional proficiency and evaluate instructional methods.
  
  


• 
  
  Develop alternative teaching techniques and scenarios to maintain student engagement and improve learning outcomes.
  
  


• 
  
  Support instructor standardization, classroom observations, and instructional improvement.
  
  


• 
  
  Serve as a backup instructor for courses matching the employee's technical qualifications.
  
  


• 
  
  Coordinate curriculum priorities, schedule impacts, and resource requirements with the Program Manager.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 
  
  Demonstrated technical instruction and curriculum-development experience.
  
  


• 
  
  Ability to develop lesson plans, technical instructional materials, examinations, presentations, and other courseware.
  
  


• 
  
  Demonstrated understanding of adult-learning principles and classroom delivery.
  
  


• 
  
  Ability to research and incorporate changes to Army regulations, technical publications, systems, and procedures.
  
  


• 
  
  Strong technical writing, editing, and quality-control skills.
  
  


• 
  
  Ability to teach adult learners in a professional technical-training environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  
  Five or more years of technical instruction, training development, Army logistics, or equivalent experience.
  
  


• 
  
  Army logistics, maintenance, supply, property, movement, or readiness experience.
  
  


• 
  
  Graduate of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course (FIFC), Cadre Training Course (CTC), or an equivalent DoD/TRADOC instructor course.
  
  


• 
  
  Experience supporting ATRRS or Army institutional/unit training.
  
  


• 
  
  Prior COMET or comparable Army technical-training experience.
  
  


• 
  
  Active Secret eligibility/clearance.
  
  

Security and Installation Access


Active Secret eligibility/clearance is anticipated to be required for onsite personnel at contract start, subject to final Government requirements. The selected candidate must also be able to satisfy installation-access, background-investigation, CAC, and Government information-system access requirements applicable to the position.


Work Location and Schedule


Work will primarily be performed at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Normal Government core duty hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; mission requirements may require work outside normal hours.
