You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

1) Experience providing policy guidance and intelligence-level policies to direct information security, industrial security, and threat mitigation programs across enterprise.
2) Experience using data analytics and strategic program evaluation to resolve complex regulatory issues and evaluate threat mitigations programs.
3) Experience supervising a professional workforce to include managing workloads, evaluating program effectiveness, and/or evaluating employees performance.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-14).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Help
- Serves as the Army’s senior functional advisor for information security, industrial security, and threat mitigation to protect Army-wide capabilities.
- Serves as Chief, Integrated Security and Threat Mitigation Branch, for the Security Division.
- Reviews and uses data analytic methodologies to evaluate integrated security and threat mitigation programs, identify errors, track and monitor operations, tasks, and completions of numerous programs and projects.
- Provides guidance to other security specialists in data retrieval, report construction, etc. to maximize the effective use of those processes and systems.
- Evaluates employee performance, sets performance standards, provides employees counseling as required, and provides the primary input for awards or disciplinary action for employee performance.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of Army technology protection processes to support of the research, development, and acquisition efforts, across all national security classification domains.

- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information.
- TDY Travel may be required up to 25% of the work schedule.

The SPeD certification is DoD’s initiative to professionalize the security workforce by establishing a common set of competencies for security practitioners that promotes interoperability, facilitates professional development and training, and develops a workforce of certified security professionals. This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment. Subsequent SPeD certifications are required with the requirement to complete one per year each consecutive year thereafter in the order mandated by the SPeD certification sequence and/or as mandated by the position supervisor and/or organization leadership. SPeD certifications required: Security Program Integration Professional Certification and Industrial Security Oversight Certification.
