MK 41 VLS Program Analyst, Senior

Precise Systems is seeking a senior-level Program Analyst to support the MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) program at Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). This full-time, in-office position provides VLS logistics, technical and programmatic support in execution of the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) tasking across the various U.S. Navy (USN) and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) project portfolios. This role is critical in aligning engineering, test, and logistics activities with program objectives to sustain fleet readiness and increase combat system capabilities.

Duties:

• Programmatic & Event Support: Lead the programmatic execution and life-cycle management of In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) tasking across the MK 41 VLS United States Navy (USN) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) portfolios. Direct working groups, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and high-level program/financial reviews to ensure alignment with Program Office objectives
• Cross-Functional System Integration: Synchronize multi-disciplinary engineering, test, and logistics teams to optimize complex schedules; Manage critical dependencies across weapon system baselines, launcher/missile/canister integrations, and SHIPALT (Ship Alterations) & ORDALTS (Ordnance Alterations) installation to eliminate project bottlenecks
• Strategic Fleet Readiness Management: Oversee the technical timelines and critical milestones driving fleet operational readiness; Manage risk-mitigation strategies for launcher systems upgrades, ensuring seamless modernization installation and testing
• Reporting & Documentation: Establish and enforce tracking mechanisms for action items, technical directives, and program milestones from inception through resolution; Drive continuous improvement in project documentation and reporting workflows

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, Systems Management, or a related technical/defense field (Master's degree or PMP certification preferred)

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in DoD program management, systems engineering support, or lifecycle logistics-specifically focused on naval weapon systems, such as the MK 41 Vertical Launching System
• Deep familiarity with MK 41 VLS launcher, electronic enclosure sub-assemblies, Launch Control Units (LCUs), canister configurations (Strike, Tactical), and employed missiles/variants

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; Experience in briefing senior & flag level executives and FMS customers
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse technical and logistics USN and FMS teams

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $121,742 to $140,631 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
