Training Consultant Level II

The Training Consultant Level 2 shall independently perform assigned training activities and provide higher- level training support for assigned applications or functional areas. The Level 2 consultant shall perform work requiring greater independence, coordination, analysis, and judgment than Level 1 assignments.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead and deliver instructor-led, web-based, and/or hybrid training across assigned applications and audiences, and support training delivery for other applications or audiences as needed to maintain cross- training and continuity of training services.
• Conduct training needs analysis for assigned applications, including functions, audience, roles and skills, training infrastructure, and timing.
• Work with application SMEs, Training Lead, developers, Product Owners, and leadership to identify training needs and support the development and delivery of education and training.
• Lead or coordinate assigned Training Plans, Training Curriculums, Training Schedules, and Training Logistics.
• Coordinate the delivery of instructor-led, web-based, and hybrid training for assigned applications or audiences.
• Coordinate training activities and requirements across applicable stakeholders to support timely delivery of training.
• Conduct pre- and post-course needs/gap analysis and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Analyze assessment, evaluation, and survey results and provide recommendations for improvements to training collateral and delivery methods.
• Review existing training materials and identify updates needed to ensure consistency with current system, Product Owner, and audience needs.
• Coordinate updates to training based on end-user and Product Owner feedback and survey results.
• Support the development and assessment of the current and future training program for assigned applications.
• Document and communicate training-related issues, requirements, and dependencies that may affect training activities.
• Provide guidance and support to Level 1 Training Consultants on assigned training activities, as appropriate.
• Customer base is worldwide. There may be instances where the delivery of training will result in working overnight hours or traveling to posts to provide training at times or locations appropriate for the end users.
• The Level 2 Training Consultant shall independently manage assigned training activities and deliverables, exercise appropriate professional judgment, and ensure assigned work is complete, accurate, and delivered within established timelines.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
• Must possess excellent organizational skills
• Good problem solver/troubleshooter
• Must be able to work in fast-paced environment independently while meeting external and internal timelines
• Must be able to take direction and correction in a mature, professional manner
• Background that facilitates understanding of human resources (HR) information systems and HR policy
• 3-5 years professional training curriculum development experience (Required) to include role-based training, business process reengineering, requirements gathering, content capture and development, and training audit and evaluation methods
• Expertise using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint, and/or other training development tools.
• Active Secret clearance.
