Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer Reception Clearance Eligible in Palmdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Front Desk Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide professional customer service. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a positive experience for employees and guests. Day Time Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional front-desk customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor lobby activity, access-control systems, cameras, alarms, phones, and/or communication systems; promptly report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, emergency situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established response procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports regarding visitors, incidents, deliveries, access requests, and other front-desk activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least six months of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, and/or military experience.
• Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
