Launch Systems Integration Engineer

As a Launch Systems Integration Engineer, you will serve as a key technical interface between York's spacecraft teams, launch vehicle providers, customers, and launch range organizations. You will lead the integration of York spacecraft onto launch vehicles, ensuring that technical requirements, interfaces, analyses, testing, and verification are aligned throughout the mission lifecycle. This role provides the opportunity to work across a broad range of engineering disciplines and has a direct impact on mission success. You will help resolve complex spacecraft-to-launch-vehicle interface challenges, coordinate technical decisions across multidisciplinary teams, and support missions from early integration through launch campaign and flight.

We are open to candidates with varying levels of launch integration experience and will calibrate level based on experience. This role will be fully on-site in the Denver area (Greenwood Village, CO).

Responsibilities

• Lead and Drive : Serve as a technical interface between York and launch vehicle providers, coordinating spacecraft-to-launch-vehicle requirements, interfaces, analyses, and verification throughout the mission lifecycle.
• Champion Disruption : Identify and implement improvements to launch integration processes, tools, and technical approaches that enable York to execute missions more efficiently and at greater scale.
• Amplify Impact : Work across mechanical, electrical, structural, thermal, RF, software, mission operations, and other engineering disciplines to ensure launch integration requirements and constraints are understood and incorporated into the spacecraft design.
• Own Outcomes : Take ownership of launch requirements allocation and closure, interface control documentation, technical deliverables, and mission-specific verification from early integration through flight - your leadership sets the standard.
• Forge Partnerships : Build strong working relationships with customers, launch vehicle providers, range organizations, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment and drive technical issues to closure.
• Inspire Teams : Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams, facilitate technical trades and decisions, and coordinate resolution of complex cross-functional integration issues.
• Solve Problems : Identify and resolve spacecraft-to-launch-vehicle integration challenges across mechanical, electrical, environmental, and operational interfaces while managing technical and schedule risk.
• Lead Integration : Develop and execute integration and test plans, support hardware integration and mission-specific testing, and lead launch-site processing and campaign activities through launch.
• Be Adaptable :Perform other duties as assigned to support programs and the Company.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years in aerospace, space systems, or a related engineering field. Title and salary will be commensurate with experience.
• Self-starter, autonomous executor, and willing to stretch beyond current knowledge areas.
• Experience with spacecraft-to-launch-vehicle integration or other complex system integration activities; familiarity with technical requirements, interfaces, verification, and system-level analyses.
• Experience working with hardware or software technical projects.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; adept at customer interfacing.
• Proven ability to engage and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to travel to launch sites, test sites, industry partner offices, and customer locations as needed.
• Active Secret clearance required.

• Willingness to work full-time on site in Greenwood Village, CO.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial rideshare, NSSL, or other launch integration programs.
• Experience leading spacecraft-to-launch-vehicle integration campaigns.
• Experience supporting launch campaigns at the Range.
• Experience with LSIRDs, ICDs, requirements allocation, and interface verification.
• Experience providing functional technical leadership, such as leading anomaly investigations or other cross-functional technical teams.
• Experience working directly with customers and/or launch vehicle providers.
• Proposal development and technical writing experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
