Working Capital Fund, Finance Consultant

Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies.

You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value.

Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Work you'll do

As a Consultant, Finance Managed Services on the Finance Operate team, you will be responsible for...

• Support a cross-functional defense team in driving strategic initiatives and governance management for the Defense Working Capital Fund and supply chain management.
• Research finance regulations and supply chain policies; develop recommendations to streamline policy and operating processes.
• Analyze defense supply pricing, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) tradeoffs, and spare-parts allocation for new weapon systems.
• Develop decision materials, briefings, and written products for senior defense leaders.
• Coordinate tiered governance forums, including senior-leader oversight meetings and military and civilian working groups, to provide guidance, make decisions, and oversee special projects.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in defense financial management at a Service Headquarters, Joint Staff, or defense headquarters, including defense logistics and development of written products and briefing materials for General Officer (GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) leaders.
• Bachelors degree
• Secret clearance
• Ability to commute to Arlington or Alexandria, VA, five days per week.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

• Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification
• Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification
• 3+ years of experience with Defense Working Capital Fund (WCF) Supply Management Activity (SMA); experience limited to WCF reimbursable work does not meet this preference.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Rosslyn, VA, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Rosslyn, VA and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72,900 to $121,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
