Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our PRIME contract in Ft. Meade, MD. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will participate in Information Assurance (IA) system, hardware, and software design activities, with a focus on leading the evaluation of requirements generation, allocation, and tracking throughout the development cycle. The Senior Systems Engineer will also be responsible for performing implementation and technology studies.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will participate in Information Assurance (IA) system, hardware, and software design activities, with a focus on leading the evaluation of requirements generation, allocation, and tracking throughout the development cycle. The Senior Systems Engineer will also be responsible for performing implementation and technology studies.
Responsibilities:
- Provides identification and resolution of problems within existing systems
- Designs and implements new systems and enhances existing systems
- Participates in analysis, design, and new construction of next-generation IT systems
- Understands customer needs and commercially available IT products to create requirements for implementation
- Skill areas include:
- Telecommunication: TCP/IP, OIS/CMIP/X25
- Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX, Linux
- Database/DBMS: Oracle, MS Access, Sybase
- Applications: Tivoli, PeopleSoft
- Applies principles of ITIL, SEI/CMM to engineering work
- Provides oversight/management of systems engineering teams
- Provides technical project management and/or leadership to engineering teams and projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience
- May substitute Associate's degree with at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
- Experience as a systems engineer on one or more IT platforms
- DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II certification and Computing Environment (CE) Certification
- CE certification requirements can be fulfilled with Microsoft OS, Cent OS/Red Hat OS CE certifications
- If assigned to Directory Services TTOs:
- Experience with Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, PAM Services, and MS Exchange
- If assigned to Desktop & Enclave Services TTOs:
- Understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (remote GPU and memory scaling)
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
