We are seeking a System Engineer (SE) - Level 1 to support system development, requirements analysis, and engineering documentation for mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will assist in system design, integration, and validation activities while working closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze user needs and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- Assist in system design and engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, and Interface Control Documents.
- Participate in system integration and test planning, ensuring compliance with established requirements.
- Manage system requirements to align with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and other applicable standards.
- Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities and risk management efforts.
- Assist in defining interfaces and system components, ensuring compatibility across subsystems.
- Contribute to trade studies, feasibility analyses, and technical assessments.
- Support the development of security requirements and information assurance mechanisms.
- Maintain system baselines and ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop verification methods and performance assessment criteria for system components.
- Participate in system testing, evaluation, and stakeholder review processes.
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering supporting projects of similar scope and complexity.
- TS/SCI w/ Poly
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field. (Five additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.)
- Experience in system requirements analysis, integration, and testing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in engineering processes and technical documentation development.
- Ability to support systems engineering, risk assessment, and trade study activities.
- Knowledge of DoD systems engineering principles, software/hardware integration, and system lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting DoD, intelligence, or aerospace programs.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and related tools.
- Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity principles.
- Proficiency in interface definition, system verification, and risk management.
