Senior System Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced System Engineer (SE) - Level 3 to provide expert-level systems engineering support for mission-critical programs. The ideal candidate will analyze, design, develop, and integrate complex systems, working closely with stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of system requirements, architecture, and design documentation.
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of new technologies and system components.
• Analyze user needs, operational concepts, and high-level system architectures to define detailed system specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and propose innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure system compliance with DoDAF, SOA, and other applicable standards.
• Oversee Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities and risk management processes.
• Develop and review engineering plans, system interface documents, and test plans.
• Support DoD Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes.
• Participate in trade studies, technical reviews, and system performance assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure project success.

Required Qualifications:

• 20+ years of experience in systems engineering for programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• TS/SCI with Poly
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field. (Five additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.)
• Extensive experience in system architecture, requirements analysis, and technical documentation development.
• Strong knowledge of systems integration, risk assessment, and trade study analysis.
• Experience with software and hardware interface definition and design.
• Expertise in operational concept development, verification planning, and lifecycle systems management.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) programs.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles.
• Knowledge of Information Assurance (IA), cybersecurity principles, and secure system development.
• Proficiency in system modeling tools and methodologies.
