Position Description

As a Configuration Manager (CM), Skill Level 1, you will be responsible for managing configuration control of developmental and operational systems. Working as part of both developmental and operational teams, you will create and maintain configuration baselines for development, testing, and production environments. Your role will involve ensuring that configuration management processes are followed across the entire lifecycle of systems, from initial baseline setup to system end-of-life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items.
  • Understand and document hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop environments for hardware and software product builds, staging, testing, and integration.
  • Perform configuration audits and change control activities to ensure adherence to project baselines.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a Configuration Manager on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Education: Associate's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university. Two (2) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as DOORS and Eclipse.
  • Strong understanding of version control processes and procedures.
