Job Description:

Coda Solutions Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 (SWE2) with strong Java experience. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, real-time systems, and cloud-based solutions. The position requires expertise in large-scale data processing and distributed computing.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement software solutions using Java.
• Work with MapReduce, Cloud technologies, GhostMachine, and QTA.
• Design and code new software components while integrating with existing systems.
• Debug and resolve software issues while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Develop and execute test procedures for software components.
• Utilize software development methodologies appropriate for high-performance computing environments.

Qualifications:

• 14+ years of experience as a software engineer on contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 additional years of experience in place of a degree).
• Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Stores (NoSQL) such as HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo, or BigTable.
• Proficiency with MapReduce technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Pig.
• Experience working with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Familiarity with serialization formats such as JSON or BSON.
• Ability to analyze user requirements, develop new software solutions, and integrate with existing platforms.
• Experience in software performance optimization and troubleshooting.
