Senior Scientist

The Senior Scientist will spearhead technical efforts supporting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). This role involves leading the development, sustainment, and modernization of HF signal processing capabilities, tracker algorithms, ionospheric models, and Processing Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) tools. The Senior Scientist will also oversee the modernization of the HF PED architecture and the High Frequency Track Reporting Ground Station (TRGS) capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Physics, or another relevant field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HF signal processing, PED systems, or related fields.
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Expertise in database management, high-volume data movement, and containerized software.
• Experience with advanced signal processing techniques, AI/ML integration, and cloud-based architectures.
• Proficiency in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Grafana, and DDS.
• Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with NASIC systems and processes.
• Knowledge of HF phenomenology and its application to intelligence data processing.
• Familiarity with NASIC Unified Cloud and MASINT/PED MOD architecture.
