RF Specialist

The RF Technician supports USASMDC Research and Technology Directorate's Multidomain Technologies Branch (MDTBr). Work on a RF antenna fixed site to support the maintenance and operations of RF assets. Work with engineers and technicians to support ongoing RF operations and experiments.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex setup and calibration of high-powered antennas located on fixed site.
• Service RF antennas to meet specified requirements.
• Ability to manually utilize all test equipment (i.e., VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, function generator, and oscilloscope).
• Complete test data sheets and detailed failure reports
• Work from test procedures, assembly drawings, parts lists, and TDRs.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure personnel safety procedures are always followed and/or highlight and raise concern to the appropriate personnel if safety hazards are found.
• May provide work training for junior level technicians.
• Maintain close security and protect the company's assets from damage, including test equipment and tools.
• A solid understanding of the RF hardware requirements.
• Hands on experience on RF antennas and be familiar with their alignment, calibration, and operational requirements.
• Must be able to make independent judgment and be detailed oriented.
• All other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience providing RF technician support
• Secret Security clearance
