Strategic Resilience Group, LLC (SRG) is seeking a Software Developer to support the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) Wargaming Division in Quantico, Virginia. The role builds and maintains software and simulation environments that support the Marine Corps transition to digital wargaming.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain simulation models and environments using programming languages, tools, and data sources.
Integrate models and simulations into larger system architectures; support interoperability testing and model orchestration for the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory Wargaming Division.
Work with engineers, analysts, and operational subject matter experts to improve model fidelity and simulation accuracy.
Implement features, test and validate models, and troubleshoot evolving simulation platforms.
Support simulation project planning, coordination, documentation, data collection, stakeholder alignment, and capability tracking.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, game development, or a related technical field and at least four years of software development experience; alternatively, 10 years of experience without a degree.
Experience with a programming language such as C++, C#, Python, or Java.
Familiarity with version control and collaborative software development workflows.
Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of modeling and simulation in military or operational settings.
Experience with simulation platforms or engines such as AFSIM, NGTS, OneSAF, Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena.
Familiarity with mission engineering, wargaming, campaign analysis, the Naval Capabilities Integration Process, and related military systems or processes.
Knowledge of 3D graphics, physics engines, and database management systems such as SQL.
Experience using Agile or Scrum methods on simulation projects.
